Cool...I like the hibiscus. I saw a guy with a black panther on his arm one time...never saw another even close to it...the detail was awesome.

A hibiscus flower would be really cool! I'd also like to get a small green lizard tattoo on my leg or even a frog tattoo. But does getting a tattoo really hurt? I worry about this as I'm fairly hypersensitive to pain and some people have said it is really painful. I don't want a tattoo on my shoulder or inner arm or bum cheek but would consider one on my lower arm or leg.

Getting the tattoo isn't to bad, it's more of a scratching sensation but afterwards it did ache for a few hours.

It's worth it though.

Yeah its not really painful except for specific parts.

No I do not think getting a tattoo is stupid at all.
getting a tattoo that is poorly thought out is stupid but getting one under other circumstances is not.

I have a sleeve in progress covering my left arm.
So far it is a bunch of interconnected spider webs with some stuff stuck in them and anchored to things: Disembodied eye, broken rib bones, old broken down skull. With three spiders of descent size living in it. On my upper arm the center of the web flows into a face that is in torment.(the face is the web, its kind of wierd.)
All i need is to get some runic lettering 'carved' into the rib bones and to get the background work done, which will be a surreal nightmare landscape, there are specifics about it but its hard to explain without some of the pictures their based off of.
Oh and of course the little bit of space on the underarm, now thats gonna hurt.
Oh and touch-ups maybe.
Then my first tattoo will finally be finished lol.(its always covered the arm in stages)

You may ask "why the heck would you get something like that on you!?".
Well I have always felt a little bit of a thing for spiders since I was little and would see them crawling about. Also Ever since I was a child spooky kinda stuff has always been a large joy of mine, I haven't grown out of it yet and don't believe I ever will.
Theres also abit of personal symbolage and other things hidden in some of the work. But its mostly personal enough I wouldn't expect other people to be able to reliably interpret the meanings.

Yep, long winded. But hey its a subject of interest to me :P
I wanna get some egyption cartouche (I think thats how you spell it) type work on my right upper arm maybe :D

I like the one on the bottom left, but I fear that it would look cooler as a crop circle than as a pattern on my skin.

I think the top left one is awesome! It has a nice visual flow

richardbenson,
I hope you don't mind - I chatted with my hubby about your tatoo consideration - he brought up a good suggestion: maybe get a tatoo of the team logo? I don't know what the logo looks like, but he said its really cool. Also, the team is owned by Nintendo, so perhaps an intertwining of the team logo & the nintendo logo? If you are really set on getting Ichiro, maybe get an artist to work in the logo or another design with it.

If you work in a professional environment, be sure to get the tatoo where it is not immediately visible.

Good luck :) Let us know how it comes out!! !

I would never get a tattoo because of a fear of the needles plus they're not easy to remove. I'm not a tattoo person either but I have nothing against them.

I do have to admit that some of these tattoos nowadays look pretty and interesting.

i have a couple. they arent too bad as far as pain goes. It does get a little annoying towards the end. Mine is a trio of climbing dogwood blossoms. That is in memory of my father in law... his gravestone has dogwood etched into it. I also have a Rainbow tattoo... no not gay, Rainbows are also a symbol of a promise... I may get a few more.
