I know everyone's weight fluctuates, but I'm curious if people's weight yo-yos... because I wish mine would! If I wanted to punch someone out I could just gain tons of weight by eating and enjoying it, then if I wanted to look good I could lose it all painlessly. :D

I detect no difference between your uses of "fluxuate" and "yo yo".

I think, and I may be wrong, that when talking about weight, fluctuate means to go up and down 5 pounds or so, give or take. Yo-yo means more like going from very skinny to very overweight to skinny to overweight to normal to overweight to skinny and back again. More extreme.

And I yo yo, don'tcha know.

Well I was anorexic for 10 years on and off, so I have had huge fluctuations.
I have ranged from 70Ibs (I am 5'10, 175cm) to 150Ibs.
Currently probably about 142ibs and wanting to get down to 132 if possible by xmas.

Don't take this the wrong way, but holy f*****g s**t! You (at 5'10") have ranged from 70 to 150 lbs??? Certainly you don't mean to say that you've weighed 70 lbs while you were 5'10". That would be a scary sight.

That ain't no "fluctuation." That's a problem.

my weight doesnt yo-yo. there are the usual slight variations, but it stays at or slightly under 70 kilograms at 1.86 meters. thats 154 lbs at 6 feet 1 for the pre-metrics among us ;)
my metabolism doesnt make me gain weight easily, too... i can eat what i want and how much i want. ever since starting to exercise, i have grown a bit of muscle, which heightened that effect even more.

ana: for being able to punch people out and look good (in the way you used it in your post: being slimmer) at the same time, you could start exercising. not the usual stuff, people do trying to lose weight like running or aerobics... a better way is to build up in strength. no need to grow bodybuilder muscles but just get them muscles to wake up a little. muscles accustomed to working at higher payloads consume more energy, thus allowing you a less stringent diet (and the yo-yo-effects they tag along). on top of that, it reduces the risk of flabbyness when losing weight.

ah, people should start losing weight by mirror, not by scales.

I was a picky eater as a child, until I was in the third grade. From then on, I battled being overweight. I think I looked my best my senior year of high school, when I weighed 104 pounds at 5' tall. Today, I weigh in the upper 120s and am trying to keep it at that range. I have been as big as 136 and as small as 113 in my adult life.

I was indeed 5'10 when I weighed 70Ibs.
And as I said, yes it was a problem... my post does state I was anorexic.
