What Would You Do With 1 Trillion Dollars?

Scarily the first thing I would do is get all the CD's I have been dreaming about recently that I want (yes - that was the word dreaming, yes - my obsession is that bad)

I'd give it to missionaries, ministries, and Israel.

After setting myself up to live the rest of my life comfortably, by buying several homes(each in a different state/country) and having a nice amount of interest come my way monthly, I'd make sure all my family members had their basic needs taken care of. I'd give some of the smarter ones a lump sum and let them do what they want, like my #4 brother, but most of them I'd only take care of their basic needs like electric, food, and clothing, maybe I'd build them all a house of their own design in the location of their choosing. Then I'd set up some kind of fund for my younger cousins and nieces for when they come of age. And put some away as emergency money.

The rest could go to charity.

I usually do that anyway, id keep enough for a 360 though.

Will it be a big home on an island or ranch in the middle of nowhere where I can fulfill my dream of rescuing ill and unwanted dogs, while being away from society?

I would totally help you out too if I had a ton of money. I'd fulfill my dream above, and I'd also help out my cousin who has CF so she can live as long as possible.

I'd crawl under a rock and hide somewhere...I can't even comprehend the trouble (and unwanted visitors) that would come with that much money.

Really wouldn't want to live much differently than I do now...maybe add a glass sun room on to the house, improve the yard a bit, have a laundry room installed upstairs...might end up moving somewhere more secluded that has everything I need if I could find something not-too-fancy that really appealed to me. Set aside enough so that I could live comfortably for the years to come, and so that my son would have something...then start giving it away probably.
