If you can't get it out...just don't leave it in there.

Maybe if you have to go to the hospital to get it removed, you wont have to pay...you could claim insurance and say it was an "accident".

i was properly informed q-tips are not for ears? wtf are they for then? my mom was more concernd about her damn birdfeeders when she got home to refill them than my beautiful ears.

no,are not supposed to use them to clean inside ears,as wax is supposed to come out on its own.
Am went deaf in one ear for a while because of using them.

yarr i dont know how im going to get my sexy back without q-tips. my fingers are too clumsy by themselves to get in there and do anykindof a good job

Seriously, I think my dad did the same thing once...my mom used to always buy the q-tips with the plastic wands...because he would never listen and they didn't break like the other ones.

Ouch, that could be dangerous. You do know the q-tip isn't supposed to go into the ear canal at all right? its just for the outer groves (I know that, but it doesn't stop me because I can't stand the feeling of the wax in there)

Yeah...I can't imagine the amount of misuse that would lead to a Q-tip breaking. Be gentle

glad it came out. Some one told me your not to put any thing smaller than you elbow in to your ears. meaning do not put things in to the ear. the wax has good protective properties.

i have to use them for my ears because my aids cause it to build up - - - and then can really mess up the tubing for them. i don't mind cleaning them out, but people tend to get obnoxiously horrified when i have to do so in public.

the general rule of thumb is to, you know, pay attention to what you're doing.

I can totally identify with that - I go somewhere very private to clean mine.

You can get drops which thin it out considerably though.

BTW: Since you're the only other person here that I know who has hearing aids - do you find yourself trying not to laugh when they squeeze the cold mould stuff in?

i LOVE that stuff. the sensation is awesome and i find it very comfy. except when they mess up with the sponge they put in first.

my current aids don't have ear molds, they're open fit. part of the reason i'll actually wear them now. they also are better than any other aid i've had in terms of amplifying what i want amplified, and not so much the crap i DON'T want to hear (since i still have the fun fun aspie noise sensitivities). hence the price tag.

I've used it for casting a couple of performers faces.

Then they sculpt on it so a prosthetic, like a Klingon forehead, is a perfect and unique fit.



Its expensive unfortunately. I buy dental grade for the best detail.


Also they make safety qtips for babys that are big so they cant get stuck in the ear. I like the wax eater stuff it fizzes like Peptol bismol.

So what am I SUPPOSED To clean my ears with?

all this earing aid talk is giving me wood. so much so infact i have enough now to finally build that back porch ive always wanted
