I got picked last on team games, but I love sports, I have an athletic build, and I'm strangely coordinated for someone who tends to live in his head, so I started diving and swimming, and I became a gold medalist in diving for my school, then my district, then my province. I loved practicing by myself for hours, just me and the water, in a deserted pool. (The coach gave me the keys, so I practiced in the early morning before the pool opened; I felt like I was on my own planet, really I did, it was amazing).
After I started winning trophies for my school, I went from the nerdy fa***t who got shoved into the lockers to "the cool guy with the shades and the black clothes". People who previously had been so awful to me now cheered me on and gave me the thumbs up in the school hallways...
It was so strange, I mean, I had the same heart before I started winning trophies, why wasn't I loved for that?
