Why I hate shaving?

I just don't shave or trim because I don't have to. If I'm hired at McDonald's again I'll start shaving again, but not while I don't have to.

I detest the task of shaving. At most I'll shave 3,4 times in a month-unwillingly... Can't even grow a proper beard, if I could I probably wouldn't ever shave... When I do shave, I can never get the sideburns even, and no matter how careful I am there's always a patch that I didn't get to... Argh...

Corronb, why not use shaving cream instead? Or just use foam and grin and bear it? I find it annoying, but it's a daily task, and quite an important one. Otherwise I look atrociously down-and-out with pubescent stubble everywhere.

I currently have full sideburns, and am waiting for them both to join in thin lines to the middle, at which time I'll link them at the bottom to a moustache.

I only shave with an electric razor. With my clumsiness, I'd slit my throat on accident with a regular razor.

I hate the smell of shaving foam, cream and gel. It always gets into my mouth and I can taste it for hours.

I dislike the feeling of shaving cream against my skin. I generally dislike sticky and viscous substances. That's why I bought an electric shaver as soon as I could. Until then I had been shaving manually--without cream.

I managed to cut myself with an electric razor. True story (the foil had split, and I didn't notice the jagged edge until it had carved a furrow in my jaw).

I detest shaving a great deal, since the only really satisfying shave I get is on Monday morning, after I've let my beard hair grow for two days. The rest of the time it's just a pain (literally & figuratively), and a real chore to have to bother with.

I used to have a goatee (because I was a student, and experimenting with my facial hair), but not any more. In fact I got rid of it about eight years back, because somebody told me I looked like a Cuban drug smuggler

I hate trying to grow a beard, I am at the itchy stage right now, and the hair is very thick, almost like metal wire, just did the first trim under my bottom lip to get a nice shape and evened out the neck, agghh its so itchy right now.

I only shave every few days. I like how I look with a light beard, but mostly I'm lazy.

When I do shave, I use the old fashioned double-edged safety razor. It won't get me perfectly smooth as modern cartridges do, but they only cost 40 cents each and do the job much quicker. Modern cartridge blades don't work very well when I've let it grow for a while, and they get all clogged in short order.

$0.40 for an efficient blade, or $5.00 for a frustrating cartridge? I'll take the old blade, please.

You do have to be more careful with these, but it isn't hard. I only cut up my face the first time I tried it.

I hate shaving as well. I honestly would get rid of my facial hair forever in an instant if it didn't involve so much pain and money(electrolysis or lasers). It's weird, because I don't mind spending a lot of time with all the other grooming habits, but shaving, ughhh, if I must!

I shave about once a week but about half of it I look untidy. But I have a pretty good goatie, it turns realy red in the sunlight, I am also trying out some sideburns, just to see how they look. I just use disposable razors, I kept fearing that the electric shaver would hurt me, I just got realy scared, I would rather have full control with a normal razor.

I used to cut myself a lot more with manual razors. It's very difficult to cut yourself with a good foil razor.

With my razor I kept feeling the hairs being pulled out, I don't have that problem with the manuel, kind of felt like I was getting an electric shock.

With an electric razor you have to shave everyday as it doesn't work as well with longer hairs. It yanks them out and it's more painful.

There is no way I will shve everyday, I am way too lazy, I need to remember to shampoo more and stuff anyway.
