well depending on what year you look at the map you can say Croatia, austria-hungary, Serbia

Or you could say Slavonia or Germany.

And for my ancestors who aren't from that town, its Bern, Switzerland. Just getting started on some of the other lines

100% Belgian unfortunately :? For as many generations as the country's been existing. I always felt bad about that, being into other cultures and such, my family's backgrounds are very monocultural and even very local.

All people in my family started dating someone from the same village or at least same area, with the odd result that for several generations everyone from my family has been living within the 30 miles away from each other. I am the second person in the whole family only to go abroad (the other one lived only in Holland and returned to Belgium meanwhile so I am the only one who has really left his native area far across the borders, all others are keeping their Belgian bloodline going and are settling down in their native area)

Yeah, my family are not adventurous by any means. Actually, I hope to meet a nice girl somewhere in a far away country and be the first one to bring in some foreign blood in the family :)

Mostly English, on both sides, with Irish, Dutch, and Scottish mixed in.

Dad's side is mostly (entirely?) German.
Mom is unsure due to her being adopted, but she thinks she is half Irish/Native American.
