Well black people aren't constantly trying to convert me into a black man. Then again, it would be pretty cool if they did.

Yes, yes it would. Sometimes they try to give me tips at school so I don't 'act so white'.

Plus people who try to be christians (but just aren't) are even worse that people who try to be black, but aren't.

People who worry about things that don’t concern them
People who worry about useless things that don’t concern them
People who throw out blanket statements about a certain group of people
People who think they're more enlightened than anyone else
People who think they know everything there is to know with our current level of understanding
People who presume that humanity is better than any other biological organism
People who assume to know that which they know nothing about
People who think that they should be treated differently to everyone else without consequence
People who cannot see their own ignorance yet still question under the cloud of said ignorance

Some people are born with gay tendencies, but you still have to make a choice to live life as a homosexual, just like people with straight tendencies have to make a choice whether or not to have sex with the opposite sex, or get married, etc.

Mmmmm How can you discriminate against homosexuals who do not choose to be homosexuals but inherited this orientation, when aspies are sometimes discrimated against for the way they are? All discrimination on the grounds of difference is not a value I subscribe to.

The choice to abstain from sex is unnatural for most people. It is a powerful and fundamental urge. What goes on behind closed doors between consenting adults is no one's business.

It pisses me off when people discriminate against those who are different. It is the core of religious wars, racial wars, political infighting, discrimination...

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread. I'll confess:
#I'm NT and it pisses me off when blanket statements are made against all NTs.

#I have been to bible college and was a minister's wife, and coffee time under my house every Sunday really pissed me off. The 'devout' evangelicals would be sending out messages along the lines of "look at me being good!" (you have to be able to read body language to see this) They would bore bown on the newcomers and the weak with wide smiles and friendly handshakes. I used to think that they were having spiritual orgasms.

#One of the first words..well maybe not one of first...I taught my children was manipulation I hate being manipulated by anyone and I think that is why many of us hate politics, where we are being manipulated by being told half truths.

Hmm, interesting! That makes me think about all that 'Holy Spirit' stuff like speaking in tongues etc, which I witnessed a great deal of when I was involved with the evangelicals.

Because black people are born black. That is what they are, rather than who they are. While being black says nothing about an individual's personality, being Christian reflects their morals, values, beliefs etc. Christianity is a religion, not a race.
