thank you :) that makes me curious, why is it that those items are not available down under? is it the laws?

I don't think there are any legal restrictions on what we can get here. I think we are just a lower-priority market. I often have to buy stuff from US and UK on Amazon etc. Sometimes "new" things (such as mobile phones) get released here some months behind US, Asia and Europe. We are always behind (including Covid-19).

well if it is any comfort to you, us 'muuuricans often have to wait years to get the latest japanese tech. cars that had noise cancellation technology didn't get here for years. and all the neat foods you read about generally are only available in the big cities where all the $$$ people live, though i recently found some pizza-flavored ice cream at my local walmart [it was not bad, really] as well as some macaroni-and-cheese flavored ice cream, both made by van beuren of NYC. that was the most interesting stuff since i found some beer [stout] flavored ice cream in seattle a decade earlier.

I guess we are at the bottom of the hierarchy... US must still be one of the first ones to get the latest. Also, countries like US, Japan, UK and Germany actively/innovatively produce the latest. So naturally they are the first to get the latest. Australia produces nothing new. No weird-flavored ice cream. No tech. I don't even find fictions written by Australian writers. They are either written by a US or UK author.

^^^don't forget about [from 1949 'til his premature passing in 1960] Melbourne resident Neville Chute ("on the beach" et al). he was known as an "Australian writer" by his countrymen back then. y'all also had/have several great rock bands :dj:

^If we have to resort to a British writer from such an old time as an "Australian writer", then that must be an indication of lack of writers in Australia.

But don't worry. I love the relaxing lifestyle of the backward land. :D

My fiber mix, for feeding those hungry gut bacteria, my new invention. Not horrible. I mix this up, spoon it into my mouth and wash it down with water.

1 spoonful ground flax seed
1 spoonful wheat bran
1 spoonful rye flour
2 spoonful ground oats
1 spoonful oat bran
1 spoonful PB Fit (peanut butter powder)
half a spoonful cacao powder
dash of salt

Other stuff I've eaten today

banana
apple
blueberries
avocado cup
olive oil
coconut oil
plain greek yogurt
honey
92% cacao dark chocolate

Made my fiber mix again. Also ate a banana, an apple, some chocolate and a turkey sandwich. Will have yogurt before I go to bed.
