Oh man :lmao:

Theres this thing in the paper today, about
funny complaints tourists have made when
on vacation in Norway.

One stands out above the rest:

A guy came to see the midnight sun, after
seeing it he demanded a refund from the
hotel because; "its the same sun as i saw
in the daytime, what kind of scam is this!"

:lmao: ooooooh (wiping tears)

Thats too funny - come to Norway and see
our spectacular second sun. Yep, we have
to here!

Seriously funny though :)
what is this, its the same sun... oh man

In the north of Norway its pretty much pitch
black all winter long all day. Here i live it
gets dark around 15:00 in the day and light
again at around 8-9 in the morning, so the days
are short for a while. I notice it every day now,
it gets dark sooner and sooner in the day. But
I`m glad i dont live up north, thats seriously
depressing, 1 our daylight  But its the
midnightsun, when that happens its day in the
middle of the night

Got me one of these, a energylight, a must have
almost when living here in the wintertime

Theres another funny complaint on that tourist list,
it happens way too often that people come to Norway
and complain that they see no polar bears
I actually met a couple in the street one time asking
about directions and mentioning polar bears, one big
hitch, we were standing in the capital city oslo :lmao:
not really polar bear country, far from it, maybe a few
thousand kilometers to the north

You would need a, hopefully being able to tell am and pm around different places or you would have not much of an idea of the time of day.

For me the wintermonths is just a blur :)
the days just glide by, darkness followed
by a little light, more darkness, a little more
light and sudddenly its mars :D thats when
i come out from my hiding and stretch towards
the sun.

But i am seriously considering moving away from
here to warmer places, i have no need for the
winter and since there is places with sun all the time,
it feels more and more like a waste.
I needs me some heat! all year around. I mean, what
the hell am i supposed to do with a meter of snow and
-10 to -30 degrees celsius? :) I`ve tried planting things
in it, it just wont work :) Feels like living in a refrigirator.

Doh..this reminds me, i have to get a new snowshowler
soon :x

So you are telling me that Europe is not a Tatooine polar bear wonderland.

Heres a thing we`re plagued with :)
tourists actually steal these roadsigns,
lots of them every year. Its a warning
sign that elk/moose might cross the road
ahead. Good warning to have, since they
are very big and easily weighs 400 kilos
and more.

Image

I live in the countryside and have seen on
several occations people hanging from the
signpost, doing their best to get it down
always funny to see - a campercaravan with
foreign plates and a family climbing the sign
posts carrying tools and looking a little nervous

I wonder how they plan to get it past customs.
