Foreign coins are tough, but I'll give it a shot. The obverse has very few small flaws, probably subtract 2 points. The reverse is very nice as well. I'd subtract 2 or 3 for the black marks and tiny flaws. The "die crack" next to the F won't effect the grade, but is cool.

I would estimate the grade to be at minimum a high MS64, probably a MS65, and maybe even a MS66 or 67. It's hard to tell without something to compare.(I have seen thousands of Morgans, etc...) That is assuming that it has never been cleaned or dipped, which would put it in a "damaged" category. It doesn't look to be cleaned though. A very nice coin indeed. 8) :)

Wow, silver dropped another $1.27 today. 8O It closed at $10.55 an ounce! My advice, invest if you can find it anywhere near that price! :)

it has not been graded by anyone else yet, so i dont have a pcgs grade
on it, but i think you`re on to something around 64 - and nice job spotting
the die crack, fuzzy pics and all 8) Never been cleaned or anything, just
how i like them :) - this one is a ebay find :D can be hard to find these
types from around that year in top quality

^Things like detail around the ear or hairline(obverse) make it hard for me to grade. There isn't much detail, and I don't really know if they were minted like that or is it wear? I'm assuming they were minted like that because you asked "what MS grade?", if it was wear, that would put it in the AU range. A great coin, nonetheless. 8) :)

My bad, i mixed it up and called the whole scale MS-scale,
ì`m used to another system - the hair details are weak on
the die, but if i`m not mistaking theres also a type of these
with sharp details - different dies, not just earlier die stage
- but anyway, looks nice no matter what grade :)
i`m tempted to send it to pcgs

^If it is just a worn die, it should still grade MS62 minimum, probably higher. :)

.....and a few years later :) he always got that smile
i`ll leave the sanity issue alone for now
Helter Skelter is a good book about the case btw,
written by a detective - some claim this is a pic
of satan himself :)

My mom is fascinated by Manson, but never read Helter Skelter. Maybe I should try to get it for her as a Christmas present? :)

This is where they got the title, someone wrote it on a door in
the Manson lair - this is a pic of the actual door the police
took with them as evidence from Spahn Ranch where they
lived - Helter Skelter was Manson`s name for the ultimate
race-war he was planning, his "master plan" a massive fight,
white against black, when the dust settled he would emerge
as a leader, take over and rule, so the killings was ment to
spark a riot by blaming some other color, thats why they
took Tate, a celebrity slaughter would make the public really
react they thought - Manson was/is very good at making
people listen and follow, he`s got that "thing", born leader
type

Image

This might actually be a childlike sketch of his plan, if looking at the details
one can see connections, starting at the bottom going up, ending
in the word "happy" - helter skelter being a riot, then peace
and nothingness- all good children will go to heaven and then "happy"
This looks alot like your average "brilliant moment" on acid, which
they did a lot of, drawn down in a hurry, maybe spread over a period
of time with some random things inbetween
