this dream will make sense only to people who know about the details of the teneriffe distaster in 1977.
--------
i had a dream that i was a passenger on pan am 1736 (at los rodeos).
i was very reluctant to be on the plane and i wanted to get off as the fog rolled in, but it was too late.
i was worried because we were at an airport that was not designed to handle that many planes at once, and they never usually handled large planes.

for some reason, i knew the klm plane was taxiing in front of us about 2 minutes ahead (i would not have known this if i was merely a passenger because i could not see in front of the plane).

i became worried that no plane knew where any other planes were, and i just wanted to be out of there as soon as possible.

then my mind kind of drifted into the cockpit where i was still a passenger, but i was somehow privvy to the entire situation.

the tower said to exit the runway at c3 (135 degree turn (to enter the taxiway)), and the captain said "ridiculous. he must mean c4 (45 degree turn)", and he did not exit the runway to continue on the taxiway using c3, but instead proceeded to c4.

i thought "hang on!! the blasted klm is going to do a 180 degree turn at the end of the runway, so why can you not do a 135 degree turn as directed ! !" (the klm taxied all the way to takeoff position on the runway, and had to turn around within the confines of the runway width). i thought "just get off the bloody runway now!".

as he continued to c4, i had horrible imaginings of the klm hitting us on his takeoff run. he was 2 minutes ahead which seemed like an eternity.

the captain said "good god i can't even see 100 feet ahead", and the co-pilot agreed and was anxious. this amplified my anxiety to hear it coming from someone who had experience.

the plane seemed to be crawling along, and i thought that the klm would have been cleared for takeoff by now, and the tower can not see any of us.

the captain said "i think i can see c4 now" and i thought "it is too late!! ! get off the runway now!! ! drive across the grass to get to the taxiway!! ! it will not damage the plane!! ! get off now!! !! !! !! !! !!"

then my consciousness was again situated in the position of a passenger seat.

sometimes when people are trying to get more acceleration from a low powered vehicle, they will rock their torsos back and forth in a subconscious analogy to urging on a horse they are riding. i was doing this growling through gritted teeth "come on!! ! come on!! !! come on!! !!".

then of course i saw the klm through the fog, and i woke up before it hit. i almost felt bad that i abandoned them to their fate. i was lucky enough to awake and escape the disaster, but all the real people on the plane experienced the last few seconds that my dream would have been if i had not woken up.

Friday night, I had a dream I was in an apartment that had different elements (colors, architectural features, furniture, etc.) from all the various apartments I've rented. It was sort of a hybrid of everywhere I've lived over the last ten years or more. I turned around and noticed (apparently for the first time) a shelving unit inset into a wall that had a bunch of houseplants sitting on it that I recognized as ones I'd had years ago, but had either killed or let die. I thought, "Oh, they didn't die, I just hadn't realized they were still here." Then, I woke up.

I recently started therapy for the first time and I'd had my second session the evening before. So, I think it might be related to that? It symbolized me rediscovering things from my past, I'm guessing?
Sounds like a cool dream.

I had a dream about a lake that had deadly red jellyfish in it, and someone was experimenting with cloning and had fetus' floating in there. They were quite upset that the jellyfish had invaded and were killing the fetus'. They told me to listen closely at the shore, so I did and could hear thousands of babies screaming in pain. When I asked why I could hear it, I was told mothers were sensitive to the pain they were in.

There was much more to this, but I can't find the words to explain.

i dreamt i woke one day and found that i was a leper segregated upon a leper colony on some island someplace, and it was after a major world war had flared and resolved with total destruction of the civilized world, and so my new world was no larger [for practical purposes] than this forgotten island. i was with some other people who seemed to be close to me like a family unit, an adult 20-ish woman, a 'tween girl, a 'tween boy, an older teen boy, and a middle-aged man- i looked at my fingers in the dream and the tips were concealed with bandaids on each finger. the house we were staying in, for some reason we determined as a group to leave this house and move further out into the island countryside, to a place we had prepared beforehand. we set out on the roads with these powered skateboards and powered rollerskates, we all zoomed down the road to the new place, but i stopped in the middle of the trip to reapply my bandages to my fingertips which the high-speed winds [from tooling down the road at maybe 40 miles per hour] had blown away. then i resumed, catching up with the group at the turn-off- only when we all got there we found that some thugs had torn up our place, leaving scraps of wood strewn here and there, but with all our supplies stolen. so we looked around in the surrounding woods and found a foraging group of other people who had built a crude shelter out of some of our wood from the frame of our wrecked house, and we asked them if they knew who had done this, and they replied that they'd just gotten here yesterday from another part of the island and had no idea. but they shared what food and shelter they had with us so we were mollified.

eventually, we all decided we were in danger and had to move to the central village on the island, and suddenly the crude lean-to shelter turned into a wooden-framed van with a rope-started putt-putt motor which one skinny guy engaged, and we slowly made our creaking halting way to the village in the one island town, only to find upon arrival that everybody was penned-up in this warehouse with survival supplies secured behind a chainlink fence guarded by one tired-looking older man with a .38 strapped to his hip. we all suddenly found ourselves locked in this warehouse, and one lady from our group saw a quilt through the fence and decided she had to break her way into the fenced-in area and get it, so she strong-armed past the guard and knocked part of the fence down and ran for the quilt but the guard shouted "HEY!" and was hot on her heels and tackled her from behind, and the two struggled until the guard got the upper hand and slammed the woman backwards onto the ground. then he shoved the quilt up high on the shelf where she couldn't reach it. the woman glared red with anger at the guard who apologetically said "i'm sorry lady, but orders is orders." then he produced a bottle of whiskey and two shotglasses as though by magic from some hiding place, poured them both 3 fingers each, offered the lady one glass by saying, "now to prove there's no hard feelings, here's one for you and one for me, too!" and they both downed the hatch with 'em. then i awoke.

The following all occurred in my dream(s) at some point last night

- I was hanging from the landing struts of a helicopter being flown over the River Thames by my brother
- A girlfriend I once had a few years ago was eating food from a bin
- I was standing on top of my car but was somehow stuck as it was overhanging a cliff
- I escaped from a school only to be insulted on the path outside by a passer-by who happened to be a ginger man no bigger than a Lego figure
- I was arrested for being called Norman (that isn't even my name) and was hit on the head by a plain clothes police officer present at the time of the arrest

So last night:

Apparently my grandpa had to give a talk, we get in a car and go down to the church, with my cousins.
Then, I don't feel like sitting down and I go and explore. Suddenly I am walking on the ceiling and seeing kids from elementary school. I go into rooms and the teachers tell me not to bother them and I trip over an exercise ball. Then I see a computer room and there is a typing game on...but my old art teacher comes in and says she isn't going to let anyone escape the room. She come in through the in door and shuts it behind her, then goes to shut the out door...and WHAMO, I run out the in door, and start going throughout the school. I ask some people where the church is...and there's this deep pit I have to jump down. Too late, the teacher found me, and is angry. She takes me to a pool and says that I need to learn how to kayak. But the boat is way too small and I'm in Sunday clothes. She get's annoyed and says that it doesn't matter, and that "This is a life experience!! !" She throws the paddles down, and I say I have to go to church. Turns out there was a stairway right next to the pit and I should have taken it. I get back and we have to decorate cakes. I start to decorate one for my mom (because nobody would tell me which picture to sign) and the frosting keeps coming off. Not falling off, but disappearing. I go to get another knife and my mom gets mad at me....she gives me a death stare and says "that is your knife, you don't use another one, it won't work." and then vanishes. I finish up the cake and then half of it has disappeared (the bottom half) and half the frosting has on one side, I give up and wake up.

My favorite part from this is when the teacher yells: "This is a life experience!! !! !! !! !!"
