Maybe if you had been a better mom, your daughter might not be so afraid of emotional commitment, and your son might not be so sexually repressed.

Maybe if you had been a better wife, your husband might not be so cold and distant toward you.

I know I should direct all of my anger at you, since you're not the only one, nor are you the worst one, but what you said there... That is school bully-level of f*ckery. Not cute.

If you did what I think you did... I am getting closer to flipping out. One more bit of s**t from you and I'm done trying to be nice to you.

Could someone please invite me to join? Because I want to join, but I'm not sure if it's okay. It may not be meant for people like me who aren't in the core group. Or maybe it's meant for everyone. I always feel like I'm not really welcome anywhere, but that could just be me imagining social rules that aren't really real. I just don't want to annoy anyone. Maybe I will get up the courage in a few weeks. :(

I'm not giving up on you. Even though you won't be at the expo as planned, we will see each other again before the year's up. I swear it.

I forgive you; but you violated the Law, and the Law must be satisfied. That is why you have been removed from society, and why your family and friends have turned away from you. No one framed you, no one set you up, and no one was out to get you. You did this to yourself, you have no one to blame but yourself, and now you have to pay the penalty by yourself.

I hope that you come out of this a better person, and that you will become a useful member of society.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who stood by me and supported me during the recent attack on my person and the subsequent trial. You are all great people. Too many to name - you know who you are.

Many, many thanks!

It's ok if you're mad at me, because I'm mad at myself.

I'm sorry that I'm acting a little bit 'weird' right now. I'm scared that you think I'm getting swept up in what we're watching on TV and everything that's currently in the media, on the run up to seeing my GP. Maybe with all of this autism awareness everywhere, I've picked the wrong time to seek a diagnosis because everyone's going to think that I'm just attention seeking and jumping on the bandwagon.

I'm worried that you think I'm 'acting' autistic in a way that I never have before, because I'm trying to prove it to you or because I feel like I should. It's not that, I promise. It's just that for the first time in my life I've found my explanation, and embracing it and acting 'more autistic' is making my life so much easier.

Partly it feels like giving in to go against everything I've been fighting to achieve all of my life, but partly it's a relief. It feels comfortable to wear sunglasses when lights get too bright for me, and to not worry too much about how I'm walking, and to accept that phone calls are hard and to ask you to tell people that I'm not available and that they should email me instead. I know that I've spent my whole life trying not to stand out, but right now I'm feeling like I've finally got permission to just...relax. But I'm not all the way there. I want you to know that I'm not totally embracing this. I don't want to suddenly change from the person that you've always known. I've never been good at verbal communication and expressing myself with words, and I've learned recently that I could be if I slowed down and spoke in a more 'verbose' way, and I think I could manage it and that I'd prefer it...but I won't, because then I look like that guy on TV and all of those media-portrayed autistic people that speak in a robotic fashion. And whilst that might work well for me, it's probably a step too far from the 'me' that you've always known. Maybe I can ease into it, slowly.

Trust me, I understand how it might look (though you've not made any comments). I know that in the course of a few months I've started changing from 'me' the person that only seems autistic far under the surface to 'me' that's asking to be diagnosed and showing so many outward signs that I never have before. I know it might seem like I'm faking it, but I'm not. Thank you for your never-ending support, because right now it's more important than ever.

You're welcome, Darth.

I don't know who the hell would attack your unbelievably stoic and rational behavior. You and aunt bea seem like the mother and father of this site, because of that cold, hard left-brained take on reality that some of us need. Obviously you won your trial. So congrats.

I don't agree with everything either of these two say, but god damnit do I respect their fortitude.

Dear Gaseous Clay,

Thanks for keeping the cold vinyl seats on public transport warm with your flatulence.
