^That's what I thought the first time I saw them, but they're actually made of wood [you can see the bandages on Fuko's fingers from where she cut herself when she wasn't used to wood carving].

It's a starfish made of wood. Fuko loves starfish almost more than her friends! Here's what some of her friends are like [they are all as weird as she is!]
