ahh Christianity-I was one until the age of reason (about 12)
I officially renounced it at 15
became a Wiccan at 17, and never looked back (Christianity is weird, and hates a lot of people-most wide said-gays)
and if your intolerant in the Wiccan community, then your scorned and disliked (its a very opened minded religion-its sort of a qualification)

I know right. I guess I could still be considered Christian but I disagree with a lot of what other Christians say and do. Especially Southern Baptists, they say that you are supposed to love everyone yet they hate anyone that is different, whether they are gay, believe differently or whatever stupid reason they can think of. I still believe in the basics like God and Jesus but the rest of it I don't really buy anymore.

Very non-religious here. I don't even like the word "religion". I know what is right/wrong, so why do I need a label?

I worship the earth, because its the most logical thing that could be a God to me-it gives me everything I need to live, and asks for little in return
it doesn't care who I have sex with, if I pray endlessly, or confessing "sins"
christians say they are the most tolerant religion, but in reality they are one of (if not the most) intolerant out there.
And has now grown into a trillion dollar company really
televangelists, churches, the vaticans, thousands of years of oppression, wars and endless killing in "God's name" because "though he loves you-he will kill you if you don't do what a book or some dudes in dumb hats tell you"

Yeah, I can certainly see what you mean.

I still believe in God, but in an unusual way. I believe that He created the earth and made it possible for life to live on earth but after that He let the earth change on it's own. In other words, life evolved on it's own and we as humans progressed as far as we have on our own. I think looking at it that way makes it easier to believe in God, or at least it does for me. I don't think He really cares what we do.

EDIT: For Kilroy

^I agree with what you are saying, my only difference is that I don't call anything "god".

well I wouldn't go so far to call the earth, the sun or the moon God or Goddess
I don't pray (whats to pray to, a ball of fire?)
it's not gonna help me
never has never will
my way of thinking is different, a godless system, my only forms of prayer is giving thanks to the earth for food and water (and life) I do on the Sabbats

We all believe in our different ways and it's our business and our business only. The important thing is that we are happy with what we believe and how we live. What I can't stand are people that force their beliefs onto others.

No, but I can imagine.

Christians are very bad at that to say the least.

The bad thing is that they force it down people's throats. Come on, if I force something down your throat are you going to like it? I doubt it.

I never pray either, and I only give thanks to things deserving thanks, real things. To declare anything "god" is absurd to me, especially something that has no real evidence of existance, now or ever, like the christian god, etc.... Why can't most people just recognize that they are in control of their life, and it's outcome, and not some fictional being? :chin:

religion is a business now
AND a way of controlling the fools
money and control
