Having a Creedonian birthday celebration. We were dressed up again today. I even had a cake that said HAPPY 159TH GENERAL on it. I may add that the cake was a strawberry mousse cake, and there was tea all around. I received two new notebooks and a big spiral bound sketchbook to make the maps for the atlas. It truly was fun.

I learned today (through documented sources---published books) that my great great great great great grandfather was Chief Cornstalk. One of this Shawnee Indian chief's daughters married my great great great great grandfather. I love genealogy and was thrilled to learn this today.

Things that made me happy today:

That it was better than yesterday.

Pillows and blankets.

The temperature, and clouds.

The fact that I didn't have to go into the city.

Having more money in my bank account than I thought.

Getting a lot of work done.

Composing.

Getting a message from my friend just as I was about to go to bed.

I think I'll use the "Headlines Stager" for important things, such as when we went to war in New England, or during elections, or even when the admiral gets assasinated.

The News Sounder will be at the top of the newscast.

One of my birthday gifts arrived in the mail today. The packaging is flimsy so I could tell right away by squeezing it that it's one of my plushies. It's much bigger than I initially thought, which is a pleasant surprise. I haven't opened it yet (waiting for my birthday), but I love to squeeze it. My mom says I'm allowed one squeeze per day. :)

In my composition lesson, my teacher:

Got all enthusiastic when I discussed literature and politics with him.

Ended the lesson with "keep going the way you are".

Also, one of my students said that her violin lesson seemed short, that she didn't want it to end, and that she likes coming to violin lessons.
