The stereotypes about Americans are that we are all fat, narcissistic and have no culture. The stereotypes about people from Idaho in particular are that we all live like the characters in the movie Napoleon Dynamite do, that we're all racists and that we obsess over potatoes.

Same question.

Common stereotypes about people from Oregon:

-Majority are environmentally aware.

-People in Central/Eastern Oregon are overtly conservative, but friendly.

-Portland has a large population of hipsters who ride bikes everywhere.

-Oregonians are the US version of Canadians.

-Oregonians are shallow, narcisstic a-holes thanks to hipsters.

The list goes on and on...

Same question.

We live in igloos, we all watch hockey and drink beer and we like to cook beavers and eat them.

Which part of your country do you live in?

Do you like being told what to do?

It depends. I do quite like being told what to do sometimes - eg when I just can't seem to make my own decisions, or feel a bit vague and can't get motivated. However, if someone is telling me to do something they want me to do, then I don't necessarily like that :) Hope that makes sense.

Same question.

It depends... I don't like being told what to do in general but if I'm working I like to have things that have to be done. I like going through a routine and being told what to do at work, I'm not one to take initiative unles I'm comfortable with it or I know what I'm doing...I also don't like sitting around with nothing to do because that means I have to socialize with people which I don't like doing.
