Had a brutally awesome yoga session tonight; think my teacher was trying to insert a bit of ashtanga into our vinyasa, perhaps. Always feel great after her classes, though.

8O You'd not believe how that reads if you don't know what it is.
Chores are getting done! It rained so garden work is on hold, but I completely cleaned out and reorganized the end room. It was filthy and chaotic, and now it's washed clean, orderly, floor is vacuumed, everything looks neat and tidy. :)
Yessss.
I should be going and doing the garage instead of wasting time proverbially patting myself on the back here.

i took out the camry for a real drive for the first time in a couple days, lately i haven't been finding the time for doing any cruising (other than commuting), and after warming up the engine so the rattling in the front passenger door panel would be less apparent (i ought to take it off and see if something has broken or fallen in there), i passed through an unfamiliar street near carpinteria, and i felt pleased with my discovery of an actual, unfamiliar area so close to the place i've lived in all my life.

it's nice knowing that even in my own backyard, there are places yet to be discovered. ever since i returned from the other side of

THE PLANET

recently i've been trying to satiate my all-consuming wanderlust by doing some more local exploration. it's the only way i can recapture the feeling of being over there until i can work up the funds to go again.

Hahahaha... This is what my old group of friends would have referred to as one of my 'one-liners': I swear it's always by accident!

the new place is quite nice... feels almost cabin-like(from inside), with all the wood accents and earthy colors.

also, father seemed like he might be interested in trying to learn tai chi chuan, and the jō staff together from resource materials. he’s been speaking about aging pains and being unfit, and said he’d be open to trying. maybe someday he’ll be interested in going to classes somewhere... it’s a beginning, though.

Last night felt like burned tongue on soup
