I'm not doin' too bad myself. Started lifting today, and am expecting to be pretty sore tomorrow. That's OK though, it'll be worth it down the road.

^Really!? I started lifting today too as well as drinking protein shakes.

Cool. Do you go to the gym, or do you work out at home? I stay at home, I have one of those gyms with multiple different stations, plus dumbells and some free weights.

Ah, I wish I had one of those but there is no room at my house. I go to a gym.

You might be able to find one that fit somewhere. The one I have only needs 5' x 7' or maybe slightly smaller. Not very expensive either, I only paid a little over $200 at Walmart, a couple years ago. It's a really nice system for the money.


Do you lift with your legs? I hate it, and am thinking about getting a mountain bike. I didn't need it before, when I used to ride motocross, that really keeps your legs(and everything else) in shape. Now, I have to decide on something before I start to look "unbalanced".

I'm turning into a very effective "temporary" threadkiller, especially at this time of the night.

I wonder if anyone will ever kill this thread.

^There was a time when I would have told you "no way, it isn't possible" but that was when it was REALLY active. Now that it has slowed down quite a bit, I suspect that it will happen someday, just not on my watch.

and I have been here since the 60's pages

My mum is going to get me to do self defence, she has been thinking of getting my sister in to do it, so I am going to do it so she doesn't feel like she is doing it by herself. Most of what I do is a bit of play fights normaly with my brother and I usualy overpower his slower more heavy movements. I have self tought myself some techniques like moving unpredictible, but I am going to be tought probably exact movements, sounds a bit fun, but not sure if it is a good idea. I have been looking into a bit of research into things, partialy into the panther style of martial arts and I think it matches pretty much the style I have self tought myself, I even watched a few videos, some I found not counting the stuff that is beyond my physique there movements actualy looked like what I use.
