I'm glad it worked for you. That sounds like one heck of an accident :(

... and the deer carried on its merry way?

Yes it sounds like you experienced terrible hell with both arms out of commission. High fives (lol) for recovering. I'm sure it was a long journey.

long uncertain journey, yes. and presumably the blighter hopped away to live another day. I will admit that I entertained thoughts that its entrails eventually were used for casings for its meat all ground up by some hunter, mixed with a bit of fennel and garlic and onion and salt, heated over a flame, yum :chef: and my vegan sister entertained such thoughts as well, god bless her

I'm literally laughing out loud. :P Those thoughts must have pulled you through the tough moments. Thank goodness for siblings, though. What would we do without them?

:hail: :hail:

You are blessed to have someone so compassionate as a sister. I'm sure it wasn't easy living with her but the alternatives would have been awful. Give her a hug from me (with both of your healed arms!) the next time you see her.

I'm not huggy with anyone, but I'd give your sister a hug if I saw her. All on your behalf! "Deadly combo" -- I'm laughing again. Thanks.

I broke & dislocated my ankle, I had surgery, I already started physical therapy, I stand on my good foot for a second, that foot was sooo numb

oh poor dear [<<<hugs>>>] I was also hospitalized after a couple of busted arms when a deer hit me on my bike a while back. may I offer a suggestion? ask your physical therapist for a TENS unit to be used on your leg and foot when you're doing your PT, it will feel better that way [less discomfort during your physical therapy workouts].

What is tens unit?

TENS means "Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation". It's a therapeutic device you can use at home, with sticky electrode pads that transmit electrical pulses (of varying strengths) to your injured tissue. Most are battery operated. It helps to rejuvenate nerve function. I still use mine on my shoulder blades when I have a migraine.

I hope you are starting to see some improvement from your PT.

Best wishes.

I had physical therapy, she made me cry twice. She wanted me to sit in the wheelchair, I tried to get in the wheelchair, I standed up using the walker, my bad foot was in the air. I don’t like my PT, she talks in a low voice, I couldn’t understand her. I wish I took my pain medicine after physical therapy. I wish I have my joints pills, I also take vitamins, bladder pills, nasal spray & calcium pills. Right now, it feels like my leg is going come off

totally jumping on your threads but this is interesting! my mother did some sort of therapy involving electric pulses (i thought she had lost her mind). Is there any scientific basis to this? I've heard Nikola Tesla did "electric baths" to keep his brain working on 3 hrs sleep. so.... maybe he was ahead in this aswell?
