TENS means "Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation". It's a therapeutic device you can use at home, with sticky electrode pads that transmit electrical pulses (of varying strengths) to your injured tissue. Most are battery operated. It helps to rejuvenate nerve function. I still use mine on my shoulder blades when I have a migraine.

I hope you are starting to see some improvement from your PT.

Best wishes.

totally jumping on your threads but this is interesting! my mother did some sort of therapy involving electric pulses (i thought she had lost her mind). Is there any scientific basis to this? I've heard Nikola Tesla did "electric baths" to keep his brain working on 3 hrs sleep. so.... maybe he was ahead in this aswell?

there are several types of electrical therapy, TENS is just one type meant to block or suppress nerve pain signal transmission to the brain, thus facilitating painful physical therapy of body parts.

I don't know much about the science behind TENS. I'm sure there are many people more qualified than I am to explain the principles behind it, but I know it feels comforting and seems to have sped up my recovery (post-stroke I couldn't feel my left leg). My osteopath gives me acupuncture and I love it as well. Nothing like waking up a nerve signal!

Electrical therapy, is it painful?

not really painful but it will get your attention, it is a buzzing tingling feeling that replaces the pain. given a choice between pain and buzzing, I think you may prefer the buzzing. highly recommended you try it. it worked for me and enabled me to do my physical therapy a lot easier.

Tomorrow we're supposed to get a feels like temperature of nearly 40 C! It seems like the hottest day of the week is always on Wednesday for some reason. And Wednesday is when my mom and I usually go out. :(

I’m so angry & upset at my dad & my sister, they decided to take my cat to an animal place where she will be taken care of. I know it was for the best, but they never asked me, there is a family dog & cat hospital, I take her to that vet. It more animal friendly & cheaper. My dad been emailing me, he expect me to email him back right away, he emailed today before 12 PM, he wanted me to email him before noon, I was busy with physical therapy. I hate what my dad & my sister did, i don’t want to talk to my dad. I’m mad at my grandmother too, she got me so mad, so I hung up on her, she refused to help me, if she knew me & my sister don’t get along & we don’t want anything to do with each other, she would say something, cuz to her family is everything.

It seems that to be in a place that is autistic friendly, often you have to look outside the general territory in which you live.

Seeing a trophy hunter on Twitter displaying a dead caracal. I am vegan, into animal rights and love caracals.

That really irks me greatly as, I'd love to see what fictionally happened to a game hunter in Rod Serling's Night Gallery happen to many of these atrocious monsters.
