Mr. Pembroke, will you tell us a story?
Yes, lads and lasses I will, gather 'round the big chair in the big room, make sure you girls are wearing your pinnies. I'll get the storybook.
Okay. What's the story called?
The end of Russia, and the path down a long dark road called 'The rise of the ideological state known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, but we will call it the USSR for short.' I will now begin.
It was a cold day in October, 1917. You see there had been a war going on in Europe, many of your fathers and mothers probably had sex and conceived you during this time, if not then it was the next time they had leave. There was one country who refused to go along with the war any further. Her name was Russia. Now, Russia had been led by this zany and somewhat tyrannical man known as Nicholas the II. There was one problem: The people were getting pissed off with his nonsense and poppycock. There was a man, a hero named Vladimir Illyich Lenin. He had been sent away by the czar to Switzerland. How many of you know where Switzerland is? Not many, not many; you kids are in trouble out there. The nation that had been at war with Russia; Germany, secretly wanted Lenin to stage a revolution to oust the czar, and ultimately get Russia out of the war, so Germany could go beat the s**t out of our boys on the western front. He arrived and with the help of the Bolsheviks, they forced the czar to abdicate. He did and a provisional government was set in its place. Another hero turned bad guy, Kerensky was the leader of this government. Lenin stepped in and told Kerensky, you cannot lead us anymore, the bolsheviks are in charge. Kerensky fled, leaving Lenin as leader.
But what of the Creedonians?
I will tell you.
For a long time, the Creedon Republic had been a faithful ally of the Russian Empire. She had been on the side of the Entente in the Great War. Now however, there was a new problem: What was to be done with Russia?
Mr. Pembroke, what about the czar?
Well, the czar was held in captivity and he and his family were moved from place to place, until they came to the town of Yekaterinburg, where the Creedonian leader, President Creedon held a meeting with him. 'You can seek help Nicholas, but remember we can kill your family at any time. You owe me after that game of poker.' 'No!' he said. Creedon left.
And so, the czar met his bloody end in Yekaterinburg. The men who shot him and his family were really Creedonian soldiers in disguise. You see, when the Creedonians saw what the white army was doing, they said "f**k this" and joined up with the reds.
And so children, the moral of this fable is: Whatever you do, don't cheat at poker with general Creedon, he has a memory like an elephant. He WILL remember the time when you screwed him over, and did his girlfriend on the side(Gee, thanks you no good piece of s**t czar.)
