Remembering an event that happened at my school around this time last year.

What happened was I pitched an idea that wasn't received well, so I am going to try again once planning for the event begins in two weeks.

A little girl I know who comes to visit and plays with my son, gave me a painted card she had made herself —
and inside it was written ‘(my name) you make my heart happy’

After kids left for XH’s home, I had time to do something beneficial. I Made a smoothie using all organic cucumber, frozen berries, banana, almond milk, kefir, matcha green tea (brewed separately then mixed in).

So yummy and healthy - I feel happy!

Got a new (to me) bike today. Really nice parts on it. Have to do a kind of crazy repair to it, then rebuild/regrease a few things. Worth it, and a good learning experience.

@blooie, @cecil: it's real. Must be extremely young, but it's real. Still makes me giggle.

Today's happy: Sunlight melting more snow, and coffee brewing from a freshly opened bag.

And my 2 year old barn rescue kitty charging around the house all happy happy joy joy while I take down the night curtains (extra insulation, and they work! but they sure make it dark in here every morning, before I take them down). She wants to be in all the windows at the same time :-) to enjoy the sun. Chirp, chirp, zoom, zoom.

And my 12 year old kitty drowsing on the chair next to me.

Denis Istomin is playing his second round match in Miami against Spain's Pablo Carreno Busta. A tough match, but Denis did beat PCB in Australia in 2017.
