Hmm... it's definitely not a virus

. My computer is working fine today without all of the problem stuff. I described the problems I've had with my pc to my dad and he said it sounds like a problem with the hard drive

. I hope my pet computer doesn't die or I'll be sad

You could just replace the hard drive, if that's what it is. They're quite cheap.
I don't know how to replace a hard drive in a lap top... or if that's even possible without having to order the right sized hard drive and having it professionally installed

. I'll figure something out

.
Laptops tend to have 2.5 inch drives.
Sometimes its more hassle then its worth to open up a laptop depends, might cause all sorts of problems with invalidating warrenty n stuff
Thank you for that Laz

. I'll have to look into hard drives of that size... and see how much they are. I'll probably have to pay to have it installed though because I'm an idiot with computer hardware

. I'm debating if it makes sense to though because my laptop computer is like 5 years old now. It's still not slow or anything like that so I could keep it... I just wonder if this is the first thing in a string of problems that might start to occur

That's quite a while for a laptop to last! In general, opening up a laptop is too much trouble for the layman (which I am as well), but the hard drive should be easily accessible. You don't have to take the whole thing apart--there should be a little compartment for it on the bottom of your laptop. The hardest part is likely to be removing the tiny screws. Replacing your master hard drive when you're not familiar with this sort of thing might not something I would normally recommend, but if your computer is dying anyway, it can be an interesting learning experience. It's not an especially complicated thing to do, either, though it can take a bit of time.
