I think that drug prohibition is one of the most preposterous, damaging, short sighted, failed endeavours that humanity has ever embarked upon. The vast majority of the harm caused by drugs is a direct consequence of their illegality. We need to progressively legalise all drugs and take control of the drug industry out of the hands of criminals and put it back into the hands of government and/or private enterprise. In the process we would save an astronomical sum which is spent on interdiction each year globally. In addition we can tax the hell out of the new legal drug trade and make a bunch of sorely needed extra money in the process. The new legal drug trade would be tightly regulated and vulnerable people and minors would have less access to drugs under the new regime than they do under the current one. edit: In addition we need to prescribe heroin and crack addicts their drugs so they don't have to steal to fund the habit. Nobody *wants* to be addicted to that stuff but it's better they are sitting in their flat drugged up to the eyeballs than stalking the streets to rob old ladies to buy their fix.

Same question.

I think drugs are evil. A lot of my extended family members and a couple of my former friends have been addicted to drugs of all varieties, and it deeply saddens me to see that they are wasting their lives away because all they think or care about is getting that next high.

Though I may be being hypocritical since I am dependent on psychiatric drugs to the point that I go through withdrawals if I accidentally skip a dose. However, I have never abused them (taken more than what's prescribed), and I have a legitimate use for them (managing my otherwise severe mental illnesses) so I don't know if it counts.

What was the last item that you bought that was related to a special interest?

I can't remember... I remember the last thing I bought for general purposes...

I'm saving my money up for a piece of computer software I want, though.

Same.

A new My Little Pony plushie. It's Twilight Sparkle, and she is a vast improvement over the plush of the same character that I bought last year. Everything about her is perfect - size, design, material... *sighs* :)

Do you ever take your favorite objects with you when you go places?

Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony, because she's intelligent, independent and caring.

Same question.

Stan's Dad maybe? Because I thought he was beyond hilarious before when I watched South Park :P Like much else on that show. I also like Finn from Adventure Time, but he can be tiring.

I don't know. I tend to do things differently or in my own way than how most people are taught. Sometimes that is quicker, sometimes it isn't. :)

What is your favorite vegetable?
