But that wasn't a school day and today is one, provided that the academic year is roughly the same.

In that case, the waking up at 9 is justified. For a while, I thought it meant getting up at 9 on a school day.

[Pathetic administration, at least they took Friday off the calendar!]

Now if someone invoked Godwin's Law, it would be dead for sure....

If it's something very bad, nasty or highly mathematical then you're right, I don't want to know. Is it?

"As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."

Basically, all online discussions, given enough time, will always (non-literal, as I learned quite embarrassingly) result in a comparison to Hitler or Nazis that ends the discussion. The intent was to reduce comparing real mania (Nazis and Hitler) to petty things (like what two adolescents would say in a physical fight). People have published corollaries to this, but the most important one is that you can't invoke it intentionally. It has to happen over time.

This thread is a discussion on Godwin's Law? That is a tired old concept that should be laid to rest. Infinite monkeys typing on infinite typewriters for infinite time will result in every possible literary outcome...including the scenario of a baboon making comparisons of behaviours of others and that of nazi party members/hitler. meh.
