So you're saying the goal of this thread is to be for thread killers to make an exception for one thread and not kill it, but make it live for as long as possible?

I've not the faintest idea what the goal of this thread is or was when it was started.

Your theory sounds sound.

I can only speak for myself. I think it would be a shame if this thread was killed.
