A slice of my newly-baked loaf with a scraping of butter and a sliced cherry tomato. This time I courageously added a gram of calcium chloride to the dough, mostly to improve its elasticity. It did the job, and didn't harm the flavour or texture of the final product. It's not the world's greatest-tasting bread, but it works and it's easy to make. 70% wholemeal flour, 30% white. Knocks spots of anything Walmart sells, and probably cheaper too.
