When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

my obsessions make me calm and relaxed and i am not embarrased about them and want people to know that i am obsessed with straps and i want people to learn that you can be obsessed with something and not have a fetish.

Strapples, this is a super long thread and I apologize for not reading all of it. Did you have a harness to strap yourself into (for comfort) BEFORE your muscles started deteriorating?

As a nurse, hooking a kid to a chair with a strap (even a super expensive, cushy neoprene one) would be considered restraint...but you like it. I wonder if that's something more of my kids would like to have access too...you know...a "safe place". Lots of little kids with autism have those big wooden chairs with the straps and trays to "ground them," but I haven't seen any big ones, that are free access. It could be really comforting for a kid to know he has a place he can go, when he starts to get upset or overstimulated.

I <3 neoprene too. My wetsuit is the best.

I like it indeed, in fact mom has to watch me because i pull things very very tight and shes afraid i might kill myself hahaha... see the thing is i never have to "go" to my "safe place" since im in my powerchair all day hahaha...

only thing is my bed sucks...

I'm confused about this thread other than it being strapples thread. What are we suppose to talk about? What does Strapples like to do besides hugs and straps? I'm just curious, I get my nose in on everything, don't take it the wrong way.

What music does Strapples like, hobbies, things, pics?

He likes powerchairs and neurological disorders. He also likes the stock market.

This thread is for discussion of straps and things directly related to straps.

aside from straps hugs and my other sensory based desires there is not much else except neurological diseases and disabilities the stock market and those are interests not obsessions, my obsessions are

Powerchairs straps hugs neoprene and various other sensory type things. Notice powerchairs are my one and only intellectual obsession

I am afraid to say this but they only come in black.

I don't mind that, I think black is the best color for straps.
