I was looking everywhere for beads that look similar to the plum-bob in The Sims games so I could create an actual Sims doll, but it was impossible. I searched all the stores that sell crafts and even checked some jewelry, but I really couldn't find anything. I even checked Ebay and Amazon and I did see some beads on Ebay that look sort of similar, but not long and pointed enough on both ends and I really didn't feel like a bunch if beads and waiting for them, anyway. Then I got an idea on how to make plum-bobs by hand. I bought a bunch of those triangular erasers that you put on pencils. I snipped off the end that you stick the pencil into from two of the erasers and then Krazy-glued the two pointed ends together. I made three of them, painted them green, red and yellow, and then glazed them. I made a small hole in one end of each so that can fit a thin wire into, which I will then attach to a paper clip bent and cut into the shape of a headband that will fit on a Barbie-type doll's head. I plan to make it so that the different colored plum-bobs can be removed and switched to show the doll's different "moods", rather than make three different head headbands, although I'd be less likely to loose the loose ones if I did.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone else is all that interested in this story of how I managed to make a craft I wanted by using some resourcefulness, but I just felt like sharing it. :)

It's amazing how hard it is to write stories about what are basically physical gods. I think I may have made my latest characters too alien, which is what I intended to have, but I may have gone too far.

I find your "story" very interesting, lostonearth35. Being resourceful in life and in art is an admirable character trait. Our heroes are resourceful. I had to read your post several times before I really understood exactly what you were trying to accomplish. To be more exact, I don't know what a Sims game or a Sims doll is but I do have a large bead collection that I like to make art with and adorn clothing with. I've had so many beautiful beads in my lifetime. The most beautiful beads were on an authentic Victorian necklace that a dear friend gave me a long time ago. The beads were lapiz lazuli and hand carved. I wore them to a Credence Clearwater Revival concert and while dancing the necklace broke and my beautiful beads fell to the floor and rolled down under the seats. People, complete strangers, tried to help me, crawling around on the floor (that went down to the stage like a hill), looking for my beads.

I've had a great time staying at my aunt and uncles house in the countryside, which has been really relaxing and a good break for me, but I am also really nervous and conflicted about going back, because i really miss my family but I have really enjoyed it up here and gotten used to life here for 2 weeks, it's really tough....

Perhaps you can eliminate the conflict by sorting it out with your Aunt and Uncle and your family back home. What is the best solution for everyone concerned? Good luck.

When you're overweight, everything wrong with you gets blamed on it, and I mean everything.

I just saw a comic where a pudgy person had been impaled by some metal pole through their stomach. They yell at the doctor "Help me, I've been impaled!!", and he says "Well, maybe you'd feel better if you just lost some weight."

I had a horrible night last night. The whole day yesterday was kind of weird. First I woke up with my index finger of my left hand numb. Thought that was strange. Worried about it of course and told everybody in my immediate vicinity, "My finger is numb." Everyone said, "So what?"

Today, I found out that my spirit animal is the German Golden Eagle. I don't like people getting too close to me unless I know them very well and I say what's on my mind.

Last time I went to the doctors I accidentally dislocated my arm before going in, my entire arm went numb, I had to get a shot and felt nothing.

Oddly the something happens if I spend a large amount of time under extreme stress (A week or more generally), I have periods of being completely numb where I can't feel anything.

Cathy Lynn

When I tried to open the link, it would not open

The catalog of the library only has Narcissistic and Borderline personality disorder books. And I don't have those diagnoses. Thus far. Barnes and Noble has a couple of books about obsessive compulsive disorder. Already read them. They more just theory. Not practical advice

Friday, returned the fourth job application to the library

Take two buses to get there

One of the buses takes half an hour and comes once every half hour

:jester:

:D

Nothing to do this week

Nothing to do for the rest of my "life"

Just counseling

Looking for a job

When rejected from jobs, feel relieved

More free time

And afraid of social rejection at work

:jester:

:nerdy:

Trying and failing to move forward in "life"

No job, no precious lil "friends", no hobbies

:jester:

Counseling might just not be suitable for my personality

Counselors tend to make vague, misleading statements, that are not lierally false

For example:. "the ideal job for you is one that doesn't involve learning a lot of things".

The statement is correct, but it implies that everyone works at their ideal job. (Wrong). It implies that, I have a learning difference. (,Wrong). It implies that you can measure the amount of learning. (False)

If I only applied for my "ideal job" then I would never get a job

The "ideal job" would have a lot of restrictions
