I think that people with NVLD but without ASD could be even more elligible for disability financial benefits than people with ASD but without NVLD when they have the same full scale IQ and similar speech development because in NVLD the more "practical", visual-spatial zone is impaired and in ASD without NVLD visual-spatial skills often can be a relative strength while some social awkwardness is mostly present even when a person with NVLD does not fit ASD criteria, in NVLD verbal IQ generally heightens full scale IQ (so performance IQ is usually significantly lower than VIQ in the case of NVLD) and in ASD without NVLD IQ profile would be rather balanced or PIQ would be a relative strength in comparison to VIQ. VIQ appears to be more useful in schools, especially on earlier levels of education while PIQ appears to be more useful in adult life and jobs (especially more technical ones which can be quite well-paid).
