I am good with jokes. Despite having RSD and being a highly sensitive person, people don't need to walk on eggshells around me. I can read between the lines and understand people's intentions. This is where I feel I have social skills, but I can lack the emotional skills to deal with negative behaviour from people, such as bullying. I can melt down and just look stupidly weak and crazy. It's because emotions can consume me. This is why I'm so glad I don't lack the social skills, because if I did then I'd be melting down at the wrong times due to getting the social cues wrong and people wouldn't really want to get too emotionally close to me in case they upset me.

An Aspie with social skills? Apparently that's a thing now. I'm living proof.

I don't recall loving either of my parents for even so much as one second, ever. It simply never got off the ground, as it were, at any time, or for any reason.

I love when people joke with me. It's a sign of affection and even social acceptance.

One time at work a guy had been off with a tummy bug, and my work friends know I have Emetophobia, and when we passed a spillage on the ground that looked a bit like sick, they said "oh that's the guy with the tummy bug, he came in earlier and was sick there". I almost pissed myself laughing - at my own phobia lol.

Also when people at work see how bloated I can get they ask if I'm pregnant - sometimes joking but a few have actually been serious. It didn't offend me though. I just laughed. My stomach can become so bloated that I can look about 6 months pregnant.

The only thing I'm unable to deal with emotionally is bullying, passive-aggressive behaviour, hostility towards me, snakes in the grass, snitching, double standards, cliqueness, bitchiness, social exclusion, scapegoating, gaslighting, targeting, accusations, the list goes on. And, as I said before, my social intelligence automatically detects this, so I understand the different social signs and cues that differentiate between friendliness and hostility.

I'm not bragging or anything, it's just something I am quite grateful to have. Same as when people here express gratefulness about their intellectual intelligence or accomplishments.
Usually I'm so negative and loathing about myself, so I should be able to say some positive things about myself too. :)

I once asked a woman when she's due

She wasn't pregnant

I don't know whether she thought it was funny or not because she worked days and I worked nights

I'm gonna switch to the Joya apples

They are just as good as the Jazz apples and at 30p less for a six pack, it's a no brainer

I was burned as a witch in 1706. They say I danced naked in the town square, and enslaved the minister.

My hair is brown with a patch of solid gray at each temple. It's very symmetrical. I've had them since I was twenty-four. I've only gotten stray gray strands in the last seven years or so.

I was a sucker for a pop-up book when I was a cub

My most favourite one that I can remember was an Aladdin one and if you turned it inside out it became a lantern
It was like magic

I don't think I ever read it
