I'm literally stuffing my face with cheese and onion pie and chips from our local chippy

4 quid for a lunch time special

It baffles me as to why they're not queuing down the street for it

I'm just sucking on a Jakeman's whilst I contemplate having a second cup of Yorkshire tea

bratwurst
saurkraut
mashed potatoes
peas and carrots

I added some garlic to the saurkraut for the first time ever. It worked quite well together.

I should try sauerkraut one time. I've heard it's got properties in it

I've just had chocolate spread on tiger toast.
I feel like I've committed some kind of sinful act, but man I wouldn't change it for the world

A lot of people who didn't grow up eating saurkraut don't seem to like it much. If you just heat some out of a can, it can be quite biting.

What I did was to brown the sausages and then put some saurkraut in the bottom of a baking dish, put the sausages on top of that, then the rest of the saurkraut along with some slices of garlic. Then covered with aluminum foil and baked for an hour or so (it's pretty forgiving if you go over) at 375 F in the oven. This really tones down the saurkraut and makes it quite delicious.

In this case, I made the mashed potatoes and green peas and then took the sausage out of the oven after about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Off to search what this is because my brain reads it as something different (a Jamaican... Jake's wrist...) every time I scroll over here... Sounds like something I would like (ricola or king 'grandpa mints' addict mostly when my throat starts acting up)

Why sinful? Sounds quite common? (Sometimes considered more appropriate for children or 'poor man's food' over here... Might be my reference is off, in any case I do not see it as something exceptionally cheap)

Sauerkraut seems to be a bit of an acquired taste. I have moments that I like it but not something I'd order in a restaurant (could say similar to choco but weird statement, certainly not in taste). Makes me think of Weird Al (Albaquerque).

Just some regular bread and cheese
