I was somewhat "maltreated" by my sister today. She behaves "like a preschooler" notoriously. I think that she should have disability pension due to her functioning in last years, but she probably has never had a visit with a psychiatrist. She is "semihikikomori" since some years.

I should eat

It's hard to know what to have though when it gets to this time of day because I'll be eating a meal in a few hours and in my current state food has a tendency to lie heavy on me but I need to keep my strength up.
so it's one of them really innit

I suppose that visual-spatial weakness in verbal-dominant autism is something different than visual-spatial weakness in non-autistic NLD. In autism social and functional impairment is fundamentally important while NLD is developmental visual-spatial disorder which may occur without social and functional problems, which are present in verbal-dominant autism.

It must be about 45 years since I last played charades

Although we used to call it "give us a clue" because of Lionel Blair and Aunt Sally

Up until yesterday I always thought that different timezones always shared the same minutes on the clock even though it's a different hour

I was wrong

I suppose that what was classified as Asperger syndrome in DSM-IV pretty often had higher VIQ than PIQ. I think that VIQ much higher than PIQ may be more common in autistic population than in general population and VIQ>>PIQ may be quite common in autistics with higher full scale IQ.

I can't stand that sound either. I don't really like babies. They're miserable and smelly and gassy. I think babies get cuter as they get a bit older. Toddlers are the cutest.

I'm fine with toddlers and children in general, but babies give me the ick.

Having a toddler must be terrifying to a parent. A baby just spends most of its time lying there, but it's like toddlers are magnetically attracted to anything and everything that could kill them. Knives, poison, small pools of water they could drown themselves in. Like, no sense of rational fear at all. And when the parent removes the dangerous thing, the kid will start screeching and crying and thinks you're an evil, horrible grownup for taking away that beautiful razor blade they were about to shove into their mouth.

Of course, toddlers will also start crying or throw tantrums for things that are harmless or don't make any sense, like those photos taken by a father where his son is upset for things like, because the dad broke his cheese in half.

I have entered maaaany contests and today I won in three of them again :)

As for toddlers, I think that older toddlers do have some sense of danger - I at least was a veeeery reasonable three year old :D I knew for example that if you put your fingers into an electric socket, it is going to kill you and the phenomenon of death is after all, irreversible. I also freaked out at the very sight of a skullbone sign because even at such a young age, I knew it means death :)

I talked quite a lot about my sister's poor functioning and my suspicion that she has a (neurodevelop)mental disability (maybe somewhere) about 11:00 - 11:50 a.m. (Central European Time) today on two free telephone lines. I wonder if she is autistic.
