Most of the praise I have received could be easily misconstrued as insults. Being told "I've got ___________ (insert whatever) for doing something or taking a stand on something" makes me all warm on the inside. :)

Do you have a rule, a personal motto, or inspirational quote that you try to live by?

That's really cool.
There is a few talks in our church about how science is good and we had an apostle who was a brain surgeon.
Everything in and out of this world is so amazing, and when people recognize that it's Heavenly Father's handiwork, it makes me so happy. :)

I wasn't planning on answering the same question twice...but I loved that response and wanted to comment. :D

Anyways, here is the real one I try to strive for

I don't think I have a personal motto but I heard this quote recently and I liked the advice:

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret: every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it; don't wait for it; just let it happen. It could be a new shirt in a men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black, coffee." - Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks.

It usually is good, hot, black coffee... :roll:
