I sometimes wear mismatched socks whenever I can't find a matching pair.

I tried growing thick skin but failed. I will probably be thinned skinned forever...

In think that advantage of Block Design above Picture Completion in Wechsler test appears to be autistic trait (which has not to be present in every autistic person, obviously). I saw interesting chart with average WISC-IV scores of children with autistic disorder, Asperger syndrome, NVLD and some other developmental disorders and average Block Design and Picture Completion scaled scores were about:
- for autistic disorder: Block Design 7,9, Picture Completion 6,5,
- for Asperger syndrome: Block Design 10,9, Picture Completion 11,5,
- for NVLD: Block Design 7,4, Picture Completion 9,6.

Nearly linear trend from autistic disorder by Asperger syndrome to NVLD: more autistic is Block Design dominance, more eneldic is Picture Completion dominance.

For autistic disorder BD - PC was about 1,4 scaled scores, for Asperger syndrome BD - PC was about -0,6 scaled score and for NVLD BD - PC was about -2,2 scaled scores.

It's hard, isn't it? I've been trying that lately too, but then failed yesterday at work.

I think that my sister is autistic instead of being non-autistic NEET and I think that she should be on disability pension at least for some years.

I like kitchens that aren't "fitted"

There is nothing wrong with being thin-skinned. Except that it is painful.

I admire people who are sensitive and intuitive.

Do you identify with the 'highly sensitive person' (HSP) trait? I find that concept really interesting :)

I don't think cocking your leg to pee is very human but sometimes it's all I can do to resist

For me msister appears to be passionless and not hyperactive, but not depressed. Many autistic persons appear to be enthusiastic, passionate and hyperactive.

My Wechsler IQ profile in some ways looks antieneldic despite VIQ 22 points higher than PIQ and POI being the lowest index. In typical eneldic profile, Coding and Block Design are large PIQ weaknesses in WAIS-R. But there is something like average mathematically and scientifically talented students profiles with high IQ (MSTHIQ) and with average IQ (MSTHIQ). They clearly differ from classic autistic and classic eneldic WAIS profiles. In these profiles there are: Block Design peak and Picture Completion - Object Assembly - Picture Arrangement valley.

You just inspired me to start a new thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=430020 Thank you, thank you, thank you so very, very much :D

P.S. I have like two or three pairs of socks that are mismatched "by nature" though :D They are just made in this way to look differently, just for fun and those socks are O.K. to wear by me :).

I am interested why so many people with autism have weakness in Processing Speed Index in comparison to other indexes in Wechsler tests.

I had a landlady who was a big advocate of this. She thought a lot of what was wrong with modern Western society basically came down to sitting on the toilet like lumps rather than strengthening abdominal muscles etc. by bearing weight on our legs.

Me I am lazy  but I was not unmoved by her arguments.

I no longer want to be a soldier. I'm sick and tired of war.

I noticed that my WAIS-R profile fits to patterns found in average profiles of mathematically and scientifically talented students intriguingly neatly 8O Large gap between Block Design and Picture Completion, Information clearly higher than Similarities, Arithmetic stronger than Digit Span (MUCH stronger), no huge weakness in Coding present in average Asperger syndrome profile (Block Design and Coding were much better than Picture Arrangement, Object Assembly and Picture Completion in performance part of my WAIS-R test).
