I'm curious as to how many versions of A Christmas Carol there are.

I'm concerned I could be considered an Ableist.
Hmm. I need to do some research.

ableism /ā′bə-lĭz″əm/
noun

  1. Discrimination or prejudice against people with disabilities, especially physical disabilities.
  2. Discrimination in favor of the able-bodied.

I did a lot of thinking about this over the last hour, or so. By thinking, I mean writing. Writing is a really good placeholder for ideas. Then I delete them and type my conclusion. Like in math, I don't always show my work.
I don't think I'm an ableist by the dictionary definition, but there was a reason why I questioned if I was. I need to articulate that more.

I was wondering that too. I first saw it in maybe the second or third grade, from a 16mm film. I don't remember which version it was, although I am sure I've seen it since. Like you implied, there are a LOT of versions, I think going back to the days of silent movies.

The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come was my favorite specter. Scary imagery, and so quiet. :skull:

I did a search on Wikipedia and found this, Adaptations of A Christmas Carol.

There are many.

The only one I've seen is the one with Ross Kemp who plays a ruthless loan shark

It's a modern take on it but I don't suppose it's everybody's cup of tea

I don't know who I'm trying to kid
I don't think my stomach could ever handle a hot fudge sundae

My father is not Irish. He is from a place in England that starts with 'S'.

(That's not me being vague. That's me not remembering. Salisbury? Looks too big.)

I like going out in the morning when it's still dark but I don't like going out at the night when it's dark

It's just a whole different vibe

I am in turn from a Polish place that starts with "s" too :D It's a small town but very well known in Poland - the action of some very famous TV show is set in here :)

Once I was passing a community building and saw that the lock had gone on the door. I don't think it had been forced - it was just an old building. It was late enough at night that it would be rude to call anyone, so I curled up in front of the step to try to sleep.

The next day people told me it was an odd thing to do, but looking back, I am not sure it was odd. I was the only one who knew about it so it was my responsibility. I didn't want kids to go in and make a mess (which I thought was fairly likely).

But I don't watch it myself, my mom does it - religiously :D In the Old Town section of it, you can buy the souvenirs from this TV show literally EVERYWHERE :D The same as the striped flint jewellery - it is also EVERYWHERE in the stores out there because my town is like the capital of it :) My town is literally an icon of the Polish popculture

I have been writing a female-led Western for some time now. As of now, I'm writing some "key scenes" (quotation marks intentional) and afterwards, will fill in the rest.

Working Title: A Handful of Marginalized People
