I was going to suggest trying to find someone that likes the same kind of things but that may be hard.

Last time I was at a party with games and all(most of the people there had their faces painted) was at my local as support group and it wasnt as fun as it may sound.

Just so you have an idea. normally at a party Im at a corner on my own, there I was the life of the party.

Now someone find a picture of a drinking straw instead of a spoon, and let the hilarity commence.

Weird though I love chocolate pudding.

Havent found a pic of someone eating jelly with a straw but I found this:

I like the lighter jelly bean from Jelly Bellies the best. The worst is black licorice.

Why different words for the same things in England and the US.

Well there are some variations even here within the UK, never mind transatlantic variations!

Language is constantly developing and as UK and America are in different locations the language developed differently.

Accents are often very similiar as one moves from town to the next town across the UK but the differences from the first to ones further up are noticably varied.

People who study English accents and language collect accents from English speaking countries and then compare the development because at one point the English in England who went abroad would have sounded the same when they got to America and then they developed from there. Same with Australia and other places.

One can assume that word usuage is much the same.

I was watching episode 1 of shameless and some of it was very hard to understand.

This is something my English teacher showed my class. The recording of what they thought the accent sounded like is quite amusing. She didn't seem to keen on pronoucing 'h's.

I haven't seen Shameless. What sort of accents do they have?
