It varies...some years there is no snow, some years there's quite a bit.
I'm sure a_w, being in Scotland, gets more

I always find it funny that the British press make such a fuss every time we have a "heatwave."

Headlines scream: "31 degrees!"

Shock, horror.

That's really not that hot.

Try 40 degrees in high humidity, and then you'll know what "hot" really is.

However, our perception of what defines the cut-off points for "hot" and "cold" is dependent on what climate we're used to, I suppose. 31 degrees is hot to an average British person.

a_w, try my room right now, 32 degrees and 51% humidity, it is very nearly intolerable.

Well my weather station here says so. It is 27 outside, but was 31 earlier, 64% humidity.

But yes, I should come to Scotland!
