Software bugs.
Assuming you still mean here on WP, could you be more specific as to what and for how long?
Yes, here on WP. A user only needs any functional browser; all the action happens on the WP site.
Hmm, I wish I could be more specific. It's as derived from various comments I've seen around WP.
The version of forum software seems to be a bit old and although still
very functional, it does have flaky areas - like blogs.
Many things have likely been fixed or improved since the existing version was released - but, there have also been some unique customisations made here which wouldn't make a simple installation of a newer version any easier. Things would probably break quite easily and we might end up with no WP for a while.
Plus, there's the look-n-feel to consider. It wouldn't do to have it change radically because that would risk confusing or alienating users.
Whilst it may be possible to tweak the blog functionality specifically, I would guess that for various reasons this has proven difficult and/or ineffective and may well have been postponed until an eventual general forum software upgrade is scheduled.
Unfortunately these are all things which are out of the hands of moderators who, while having full control over the housekeeping and day-to-day running, have no control over the site's actual coding or infrastructure.
That's an administrator function, and as far as I'm aware - that means Alex (plus maybe a couple of others).
You might find something specific here (I've not searched exhaustively):

Or failing that, ask specifically there.
