The English versions are always better

If you could spend an hour with anyone (past or present) who would it be?

One of my old friends from high school. Haven't seen him in a while.

If you had to pick one person, I'd go with Noah Webster (1758–1843).

...

Do you speak any languages other than English?

I speak some French but it's not so great, because I never quite got to fluency. I understand better than I can speak it. Or if I can type it, that's better because I learned it in text form, not by hearing it. That's how most classrooms teach it, which I think is a mistake.

I took some Latin and would love to take it again. Latin is an awesome language.

Actually I'd love to learn every language, if I had time, and money, but I don't think that's even possible. (I'd want to be fluent, not just learn where are the toilets and how much is this handbag.)

Same question - do you speak more than one language?

I learned Japanese at school and university, but I've forgotten a lot of it. I'd like to relearn it, along with Mandarin Chinese. I speak some Māori with family and relatives, too.

I LOVE languages, and I'd like to know at least half a dozen of them fluently. I'd like to add French and Spanish to the above list, one day.

Same question.

Mostly brown, but has some pink-ish-purple-ish-red-ish bits in, at the front and under a layer at the back.

Is it summer or winter where you are now?

Winter, or at least the Australian version of it. It's not really that cold here atm.

Same question.
