I heard that Mark Wahlberg turned down Titanic to be in Planet of the Apes. Big mistake there. But it's okay, I lubs my Leo.

I don't think that the original Planet of the Apes is boring. I find the whole premise of the story to be really fascinating. Even if there isn't a whole lot of action going on, I just like observing that world and the way it operates.
I've got a book recommendation, have you ever heard of Great Apes by Will Self? It's a bit like Planet Of The Apes but set in 1990's London and the whole world is run by chimps and bonobos, and humans are kept in zoos and are like our chimps. And there's this chimp who has a delusion that he's human and a neurologist (who is based on Oliver Sacks and there are references to him through out) tries to cure him of said delusion. It's a really really funny and witty book, not for the faint hearted though as it's VERY rude in parts.

To be honest, I don't think Mark Wahlberg is a very good actor. If he were in Titanic, it might have tanked (no pun intended). I wish Johnny Depp had been in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes instead. It would have made it more enjoyable for me.

Well, I've already seen all the movies on my list except True Grit and The Boondock Saints, but I want to see all the other ones again.
Unfortunately I do not have a movie collection of any kind, so I don't have much of an opportunity to watch movies a lot.

Why don't you have a movie collection? Collecting DVDs is one of my favorite hobbies. I have 69 of them as of my last purchase.

i've not counted my dvds in a few years.. i had about 200-300 i think, but no idea now, they're all in boxes from when i last moved . & i can rarely choose what to watch. had about 100ish video cassettes too. but i gave them away.. reluctantly.

the first two lists were suggestions for me to watch, last night so yea, a little late.
but by all means, list films you like
i have to stop myself when i go shopping now, lest i start buying again.. it wouldn't be a problem as such, but i have very little space & i owe about £200 & i'm gonna have to move again quite soon so will probably lose some.. lol madness.. or is this sparta?

I excavate some occasionally and run with small working piles. Er, DVDs and CDs, that is - not an uncomfortable medical condition.
