That sounds quite ew.

I miss the good ol' days of WP, where I spent most of my time here on this forum just posting and reacting to others who were the same. My view of WP was different. it became my home for almost two years, that's until I got to see it's dark side. Certain areas of this "community" seem to have forgotten that this is a support site. This place has become as welcoming as the doorman at Osama Bin Laden's cave.

Good morning everybody. Today is my niece's Birthday party. She turned 2 yesterday. I'll try not to eat too much food.

I wouldn't go that far yet.

I wasn't here in the "good ol' days". I hope I haven't contributed to making it worse. I agree with your assessment though.

Thanks, the good ol' days wasn't that long ago too. The irony of this community is that people on here say whatever they want to, and don't care about the consequences of it. But in real life just let an NT say or do something which compromises their comfort zone they will moan and cry about it, with no end. People in real life get away with it, because they can. People on WP do the same. And as far as I know you're not one to contribute to it, say you're ok by me.

From what I can see, you haven't even come close to assisting in the apparent "deterioration" of the site. I've always seen you as pretty upbeat; can't recall you saying many things on the more negative, cynical side, nor can I ever really recall you attacking people.

As far as what i_wanna_blue said, though, I think that we're just becoming a much larger community. I mean, we're getting 50 or 60 members a day now, on average. So many different people. It's just changing.

Meh. Perhaps you are more observant in that respect.
As I just said in my previous post (which was posted in quick succession to this one of yours, I realize) I just think that we're becoming more diverse.

Perhaps. But doesn't that mean our tolerance should be increased rather than decreased. Maybe you're right. I guess I see more of these things now than I did before. I guess in the end it doesn't really matter who is right or wrong. So as per normal WP...

I'll be taking a bath. I could be back in a half an hour or at 4:30. It depends on how long the bath takes.

It is true that communities change over time, with older members not coming around as much and newer members bringing in new dynamics. It happens everywhere, and it does bug me, I admit.

If this site stays around for at least several more years (and I truly hope it does), I bet there will be people missing this WP.

I actually agree with you to an extent, i_wanna_blue, but I think it is still one of the best support sites out there. I personally feel it's got a little too big for itself, though.

To what I was going to say though, I've been under somewhat of an illusion this past month or so.

^^ However, I believe that all other members who I have encountered who are not myself upon WrongPlanet are very lovely to me and I believe that they wish to be very helpful to others also.

No Tomasu you're certainly not one of those, who are not welcoming. Yes, there are many good folks on here, and I guess my earlier statements may have unnecessarily placed them in the same bracket as those who are not.
