One reason why I don't think I can have friends or a boyfriend is that I'm VERY out of sight out of mind. It's scary. I haven't though about my stepsister at all almost for months  I haven't felt anything for her. I do however know that when I meet her my feelings will come back, they have started to now that I think about meeting her. I will have something to give.

I wonder why I'm like this, and what it is. I don't think it's autism related.

I think it is autism related. I'm like this too.

It is very, very rare that I will miss someone or think about them when they're not there. Out of sight, out of mind, exactly as you say. It doesn't mean you don't care about them (the feelings come back when you see them next); I just think we live a lot inside our heads.

I was saying this to my dad recently. He and I can go a long time without interacting with people, and it doesn't really diminish how we feel about them when we see them next. But my mum and brother (neurotypical) seem to need top-up interactions all the time.

I don't think either approach is bad, just different.

Have fun in Oslo today :D

^I'm so glad to hear you can relate to it! When I'm in this state of mind I do better on my own, I don't feel that lonely it seems. So naturally I kind of like it.

Thank you! :) It was nice seeing her again. She seems to be doing quite good.
It was also kind of stressful because of a LOT of people everywhere!

Hi, everyone. I'm one episode away from the end of Firefly. I still haven't decided whether to watch the movie yet.

^Oh, do you mean the new season? I haven't watched any of it yet, not even the Christmas special.

So, since everyone here is a bit like a family of sorts, am I everyone's mei-mei or imoto? :D

^Oh no! You have to check it out! Some really cool episodes and the new companion, Bill, well, I'll just say that I think that you, in particular, will like her.

I liked the last episode.

I keep shouting at Bill though. Her thought processes annoy me. Inefficient.

She's been fun to watch from the start, and they're starting to develop her character. Honestly, I'm very confused by that last episode though.

^^How's it going, Rachey?

^It's Steven Moffat. Most people get confused.

Would anyone like translation?

I'm still conflicted about something, almost guilty, even though I know I've done nothing wrong. [I hope.]

Hi.

A week out west has really made me appreciate the finer things in life - like flyscreen.
If you've ever had 2 million flies hitching on you at one time?
Of course you haven't.

And clean water.
Like, any water.
I'm filthy.
Filthy.

And knackered.

Bye.

I saw 5 brolgas.
All at once.
Brolgas are the most magical birds in the universe.
