they weren't diagnosing asperger's much when he was young, but i think he was an aspie.
My dad was very obviously an aspie.
He couldn't hold a job, so we were desperately poor throughout my childhood.
Welfare was pretty dismal back then.
My mother had to go out to work so we could eat.
I skipped school and went fishing so we could eat.
I also worked at the age of twelve, stripping cane.
Most of the work was seasonal, so you'd make around $600 for the season then there'd be no work for the next 3 months.
I dropped out of school at 15.
