I've noticed a lot of people have the wrong idea about addiction.
They think if you're addicted you must be doing that thing 24/7.
They advise you to go for walks, limit your exposure, do art, yada yada.
Ok.
I already do those things.
That doesn't stop the compulsion.
Yes.
It only takes one slip, and I slip every day.
I tried to explain that, once. I used the word 'compulsion'.
They said it couldn't be a compulsion:
I was doing it deliberately. Evidence of planning and preparation.
I couldn't hide behind compulsion; it was a choice.
I think what they said is BS, but on another level, I don't, and it's always stuck with me.
Much better to hide these things when people think you don't deserve help.
^^ Faeries have an affinity for nature, it's true.
They also have a moral compass unlike that of a human's. And a different perspective on time and consequence.
Never accept a chance to dance with them, unless you're prepared for the risks.
Never accept their food.
Be careful if you offer gifts to them, as they may expect more.
We are not like you. You have been warned.
