Yes, mainly for timed operation practice (square roots, sine, squares, days of the week, &c.).

I like to program pointless text-based slideshows. About all the commands required are output(), Pause, and ClrHome. :lol:
[Although I did program an animation once, during freshman year. It featured an ASCII-style explosion with the * symbol.]

[My program consisted of a prompt to spell "pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis" letter by letter. When the person gets it right, it takes him/her to the explosion screen, where several explosions are displayed.]
