Good morning. Anniversary dates are a b***h but I'll make it through.

I've been reading a lot lately, which is why I haven't really been on here.

Everybody's got something to hide...

I was reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep when I came to this part in the book that really chilled me. I came close to shedding some tears. Very few books are able to do that to me. The android-hunting bounty hunter Phil Resch hypothesizes that his memories are fake and that he might be fake. If he was found to be an android, he would have to kill himself. But then he starts putting out facts about himself in an effort to prove that he isn't an android. He talks about his pet squirrel and how he loves the thing and takes great care of it, and how an android wouldn't be able to maintain one. I don't know why it made me emotional, but it did. I guess it's like the scene in Blade Runner when Rachael faces the possibility that she isn't real. In both scenarios, it is subtley implied that Rick Deckard is having second thoughts about his career choice and whether Androids should be treated like Humans or not.

The only scary scenario is in surrogates where the whole world lives totally not in reality.

Right but being ill sometimes takes the fun out of doing certain things.

Hate being ill, it used to happen more often when I was very underweight.

I used to be ill more when I wasn't fat.
