Guys. Why does my luck suck so bad lately?

I accidentally poked myself in the eye. It hurt badly, but I just assumed it would go away. Nope. Kept getting worse. My vision was blurred, had a bad headache, light sensitivity, and my eye was just really bothering me. I was having these weird attacks where I wanted to crawl out of my skin and I couldn't stand how it felt and it was painful and I cried and freaked out. I went to the ER. I have a pretty sizeable corneal abrasion in the right eye. Cool. Gonna take a few days to heal. They gave me numbing agent and I'm currently thanking every god that's ever been thought of for this miracle of modern medicine. Oh my f**k.

I don't wanna go to work tomorrow. They prescribed me a narcotic for the pain and told me not to drive... that's a sign I should take a sick day, right?

Oh, and my blood pressure was sky high again.

Now I'm thinking about scheduling that appointment with my primary care doctor I still haven't done...

Yes. It's a sick day. Your vision is more important than any job.

I'm sorry to hear! Wish you a super fast recovery, of course.
The question is how did it happen, you did it by accident by making a wrong move with the eyes, hands, and so on? Or was it, somthing else.
Whatever it was, I think the eyes are the most gentle and vulnerable part of the body. It's important to remember that.
I suggest instead of getting depressed, whenever I have an accident I think back about what caused it, and how I can prevent it from happening again in the future. That makes me feel a little better sometimes.
Again, wish a fast recovery and please update us on how your eye is recovering.

Nearly a decade later, and I've made no attempt to either confirm or refute the notion my mother presented that I might potentially be on the spectrum. I lean towards no a good portion of the time just because I can't really see it (I'm not saying I don't have my issues, it's just more that they don't seem to be the same ones for the most part), but every now and then I'll run into something that makes me consider it for a moment.

Honestly, the most concerning thing is that I'm an immigrant, and any sort of identification could have an impact. So I don't even bother taking that first step. That and cash have been deterrents.

This guy I know.
A betrayal from a now old friend
Positive thoughts?
Wanting to camp.
Hurt.
My son.
Feeling like I'm gonna pass out from grief and turmoil in my head and from
sound sensitivity and thoughts on how to advocate for my sanity and health (it's seems impossible to me).

Feeling stressed. Brother and all his kids are coming up. We maybe taking them somewhere. Already half going into a partial shutdown. Grrr! They all wait until I have a day off so they can come. When will I get days off to recover? I may have to quit my job again so I can have chances to de-stress as other brother or other people keep visiting and bringing people up on other days, and some feel left out when they can't visit because others are here....Ah well. Such is life. Just quit the job if life gets too much again!

What could be worse than a Monday back to work? A Monday back to work with a dentist appointment at noon that I just remembered. :(
