If I can't rely on my mind...

I would have to bypass it somehow.

Can't ever rely on any of my predispositions. So...
I'll bypass it. I'll find a way on my own.
It's getting closer... Think I realized now, when I found a hint and took it -- parts of me will subconsciously resist and make my life harder, will make me eventually give up and 'forget'. Then it'll become a cycle of finding it again.

I'd go with electric chartreuse.

Ok. Electric chartreuse it is. I'm trading in the Taurus for a new Charger!

I think that the US is f****d, and I mean like 1930's Germany f****d. I make no apologies for saying it. In fact I really fear for MY safety nowadays!

The only thing I really know by Gary Numan is "cars." Is he the same as Devo in that the other songs are *way* better than the best-known song? Like, I really don't like the song "whip it" but their album Are We Not Men? We are Devo! is sooo good.

I'm a Devo nut too.
And you're right, I like their lesser known songs.

Gary Numan has been around forever and I never really noticed.
His latest album has triggered an obsession.
Feels like I arrived at his gig 20 years late.

Once I got accused of something untrue.
It wasn't my helpless past that had been recalled deep within my mind.
It was someone else's helplessness -- more like, many others' that I saw and known.
These people had been persecuted for the same reasons.
And these people are the only ones I never met, yet made me less alone than any other.
If it were just me, it couldn't affected me.
I would've defended myself right then.
Yet I've cried out on behalf of countless strangers that no one around will ever knew.
And so my accuser thought what it is actually untrue is true.
How could I say that I cried because it reminds me of those I could truly relate to?

Are Friends Electric? was Gary Numan's first hit in 1979, and is well worth listening to. He's a self-diagnosed Aspie, as far as I know.
